Specters

Specter sound design in The Sims 4 SP18: Paranormal

I experimented with different synth and theremin layers to produce a ghostly movement sound for the specters that haunt the Sims. Worked with Tsugi’s GameSynth to create additional movement layers on the bigger actions

I researched Japanese Temples and Shrine traditions to create culturally accurate bell SFX

Sports Arena

I scripted new dialogue and SFX to simulate the events happening inside the arena, in this instance a soccer game, an esports match, and a college graduation.

This was my first pack as an audio lead so I really wanted to play up the horror during normal gameplay. Here are some classic horror SFX you and your Sim can experience in-game

Cauldron

Potion making sound design for the cauldron object in The Sims 4 GP08: Realm of Magic

I used a mixture of water, oil, and cornstarch to make the stirring and sloshing sounds of the liquid in the cauldron.
